Muhammad Usama Ghazi is included among some of the most diverse and versatile personalities in Pakistan's journalism. During the course of his career, he has acquired education and experience in a wide variety of fields all of which come together to make him the exemplary journalist that he is today.

After completing his undergraduate studies in 2000 with majors in English Literature and Economics, Muhammad Usama Ghazi went on to acquire an LLB degree from the University of the Punjab where he was the recipient of a three-year merit based scholarship. He also ensured that he had practical experience in the law field by practicing in the Civil Courts, Lahore. He then changed tracks by completing his Civil Superior Services (C.S.S) Exam in 2006. He also won various national debating competitions during his early school years which is reflected in his confident linguistic skills as an anchor.
